Is television advertising during the Olympics out of control?
I have clocked 32 minutes of adverts in a one hour session of watching. I have eight different channels covering the olympics and at any given time more than half are in commercial mode. Has the Olympic committee become so greedy and corrupt that they must plague us so? From now on I will just go to Youtube for hilites.
Try to realize it’s not exactly Olympic Committee (VANOC) that has decided to "plague you so", it is also the networks who choose to do so. Everybody makes more money with more advertisements.
Ya thats a great decision that has taken by that particular web to entertain the people of loving true games lovers. afterwards atleast the commercial people wil thing abt this matter…

For NBC, the network may not make money with all of the advertising. The advertisers pay a ton of cash to be marketed as an Olympic sponsor and they expect saturation during the TV programming. I don’t know why there can’t be times where a company logo is shown – like in soccer matches – and announcers can mention the "sponsorship," but that’s a whole different story.

I imagine that the reason all TV programs are one hour now is so that they can wedge in 32 minutes of ads during that hour.

It can be a little much at times, but I enjoy the coverage so I just try to not let it bother me. Dr. Nancy http://www.myplanochiropractors.com http://www.mytucsonchiropractor.com
