Controversial Motrin Moms Commercial
In a bold, very alienating move on the part of Motrin, they recently launched an ad campaign targeting baby-sling wearing moms.As it happens, this new campaign was apparently intentionally launched to coincide with International baby-wearing month.
Not only is the new-baby segment a huge marketing target, it’s a group that is passionate about the gear they love.
Conversely, this is an audience you DO NOT want to off. In one fell-swoop with their tongue-in-cheek commercial they have done just that. What’s worse, these modern-day-mommies have great new ways to voice their concern

OH NO ARE YOU REALLY LIKE THAT? When I go outside and I see a mother wearing a baby carrier, which I never do, I don’t think too myself, oh shes a crazed crackhead because Motrin said so. Your just a sensitive idiot who needs to grow the up. Did you mean you were abused or something? I don’t really understand your comment.
I’m not off. I just thought it was a low blow to hint that someone’s crazy, stressed out mother because I wear my baby and I’m “like that”. Usually the baby wearing crowd is also the organic, naturalistic people. I just got a little miffed.
I don’t understand why everyone is so off thinking that I’m off, or other women are off. It’s a little confusing to me, is all.

As for all you mothers who are outraged,have a look at Gazza ,see the women whos kids have been blown apart and then get a feel for what real outrage is.

Thats the thing, the fact that you have a problem with this, and say that having a problem with this is having a life outside of your child, and showing that your opinions are so meaningless that you can only find a use for them on something as pointless as this shows that you are a bored, annoying that has nothing better to do with her time. people need to get over themselves. I am a working mother of three kids under 5 years of age. I don’t have time to be outraged. And if I did I would save it for something like i don’t know environmental abuse, education crisis, the recession, etc.
