What visuals do you create for a sales pitch to an adverting company?
I have been given a brief, which requires me to select a product, service or brand which could benefit from this company’s outdoor advertising (e.g. billboards).
The presentation is for about 10 to 15 minutes, and I need to have visuals to support my pitch.
How shall I structure the presentation and what idea can I select, someone out there plz hep!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Select a product that can be sold from people being aware of it.
usually these will be on the retail end.
Your presentation should be how you go about selecting the product.
It should be
1) available for a wide range of people. The kind of average person driving by who will see the billboard. ( Example is you would NOT put an ad for crutches on a billboard ).
2) relevant to the location. Ex. on an interstate highway just after entering a state, you can put ads for hotels, shows, events, special attractions , etc. For example, once you enter the state of Nevada from California, you get hit with billboards advertising their casinos.
3) comparing to a prominent competitor. if people are already considering the competitor, the billboard ad might make them decide to check out your product before making a final decision.
4) Colorful and eye-catching. Proper use of color and graphics will draw eyeballs. This is really a presentation thing, that you as the billboard seller, need to convince the advertiser that you have the expertise to make an eye-catching ad for them. The product should lend itself to being enhanced through use of these.
5) Movement and lighting. Some billboards incorporate movement and/or special lighting. These are like item 4, where you use this to convince the customer to use you billboard because you have the expertise. If the product can be enhanced through use of these things, that’s great.
