Need a thesis statement for a topic called Controversial television advertising?

Posted on January 30th, 2010 by admin in television advertising | 2 Comments »

A 1986 agreement with Walt Disney Productions allowed CCTV to import the cartoon Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck, which quickly became a favorite among children’s programming. Mickey Mouse, however, managed to prove controversial. Some of the humor in the show was interpreted by the Chinese audience or censors as offensive. Meanwhile, several companies in China began to use images of the Disney characters to promote their own products, and pirating of these images continues today. Although a truce was reached with an agreement to allow the marketing of Disney memorabilia and the creation of a Chinese Mickey Mouse club, conflicts between the Chinese government and Disney over pirating and politics continue. On the other hand, the predominance of foreign advertising was highly controversial, and it was a target during the 1983 campaign against spiritual pollution. (107)

What is the best site for free advertising?

Posted on January 30th, 2010 by admin in advertising | 5 Comments »

I need some free, but effective advertising for my sites but I can’t find any. Who knows a good site for it?

I’ve had the best luck with easy to use and free advertising site http://104inc.com. I listed with them a few months ago for a free account and I get leads from they daily. From all the free advertising sites I’ve tried, this is the only company that gives me qualified sales leads from local/national and international customers. Good Luck!

Is it legal in New York City to advertise on a building using video projections?

Posted on January 30th, 2010 by admin in outdoor advertising | 3 Comments »

If I lease advertising space on a building in Manhattan from a liscenced outdoor advertising company, can I project moving images onto the space? I need to know any laws or NYC Administrative codes as they pertain to outdoor advertising and moving pictures. I want to basically run a loop of a commercial on a giant billboard(the side of a building) What city agencies give permits for this and are there any precedents?

Thanks

I have gotten the same idea in my head by what a table top video presentation on a wall does. And I had the same question about untouchable space on a wall. I dont think there is a federal or state law. But as soon as you start doing it, expect to recieve a letter from the building’s owner or lawyer.

If you cant find the law relating to this issue, just remember, air is free! And possession is 9 tenths of the law. Meaning that you are not taking, changing, painting, or basically not touching the wall of the building. And one more.. can anybuilding charge for looking at it? Of course not!

There are is nothing on the books regarding wall advertising by light projectory, when it takes off, there will try.

What is the best way to get new clients for an advertising agency?

Posted on January 30th, 2010 by admin in advertising agency | 1 Comment »

Our ad agency has been around for 4 years and we are trying to find ways to get our name out there and be able to get new clients. We already have a good portfolio but how do we get to a big corporation that is looking to outsource work?

Find out what not-for-profit organizations the executives and board of directors of targeted companies are involved with and do pro bono work for those not-for-profits. You will gain visibility and credibility and support a cause that is important to decision-makers and decision influencers of your targeted companies.

You can also have your principal people speak at conferences that are relevant to the industries you want to work in. Talk about issues that are important to your clients and prospects. Tell them how you have helped companies like them solve problems like theirs.

I hope this helps!

Anyone know of Marketing/Advertising companies hiring in the Austin, TX area?

Posted on January 30th, 2010 by admin in advertising companies | 2 Comments »

I’m graduating this month and am looking to move back home. I’ve got sales experience and I’ve won awards for marketing plans in my classes and I even have real world expeirience with an internship, but I’m still not getting any responses to companies I contact. So does anyone know of any companies that are hiring?

Since you are from here you know that those jobs are hotly contested by UT people.

Start now before everyone and their brother graduates.

Go online and check out:

how does internet advertising work? pay for clicks?

Posted on January 25th, 2010 by admin in internet advertising | 4 Comments »

what is the difference between google and yahoo advertising products? is there another option?

We used to spend a lot at Overture (which is now Yahoo) but we get much more bang for the buck at Google. Sign up at Google and pay per click, depending on the keywords you want…it should pay off. Overture/Yahoo is much more expensive because their minimum bid is 10 cents. At Google, that keyword you want may only be 5 cents. There are lots of other pay-per-click advertising sites available, but you only need to stick to Yahoo and/or Google. Those are the two that will really convert.
